The Ugandan President has come under criticism over his congratulatory message to President Mwai Kibaki over his victory in the December elections which international observers described as marred with irregularities.
Uganda has also denied allegations that it has deployed its troops in parts of western Kenya to assist in quelling the post-election violence.
In today's paid up advertisement appearing in major dailies in Kenya, the Ugandan High Commission has published a statement refuting that Ugandan troops are in Kenya.
Opposition leaders have also expressed dissatisfaction with the presence of Museveni in the talks accusing him of failing to read the mood of the nation.
President Museveni is the current chair of the East Africa Community.
Uganda has been locked up in boarder disputes with its neighbours Rwanda and the DRC over territorial integrity and control.
Last week protectors in Kibera cut off the railway line connecting Kenya and Uganda paralyzing transport between Kenya and Uganda.
"We are cutting off this railway connecting Kenya and Uganda to cut the supply chain to Uganda. Our tactic is to push Uganda to withdraw its troops out of Kenya where they are engaged in a execution policy of innocent protesters", said Stephen Onyango, a resident of Kibera.
