Police in Monze have picked up a body of a deceased woman suspected to be a Zimbabwean national.
News crew which rushed to the scene found the decomposed body lying under the tree in tall grass behind Uchi Gardens in Monze urban.
The deceased has been identified as Lizzy Moyo born on 28th August, 1980.
According to the police, the deceased could have died three weeks ago adding that the deceased was a businesswoman who was street vending and knitting table clothes.
And asked if there is suspicion of foul play on the deceased, the police declined to comment as investigations are still underway.
"We were alerted by the public that there was a bad smell from the area along the rail station. When police rushed the area, we found this body lying here suspected to be from Zimbabwe", the source said.
"We are just waiting for transport to take the body to the mortuary and we will give you more information after verifying the truth and we are still investigating what led to her death", added that police officer.
By press time the body of the deceased was still lying at the scene of crime awaiting transportation to Monze mission hospital mortuary
