The supporters of Tarek Rabaa to demonstrate in Beirut

  1. The family and supporters of the engineer Tarek Rabaa have issued a statement which calls for a demonstration in front of the military court in Beirut on Monday, August 27, 2012 starting from 10:00 am in order to lift the committed injustice against Tarek and to release him.

The statement has called "the popular associations and every honest Lebanese who rejects the fabrications of files, the falsification of indictments as well as the political intervention in the judicial system and the arbitrary detention to join our demonstration to defend the engineer Tarek Rabaa who is arbitrary detained since 25 months without a confession or any evidence, but just because a political party in Lebanon is using his case as a pretext to evade the Special Tribunal for Lebanon's indictment".

Also the statement has included "Our movement has the slogan of supporting the champion, the engineer Tarek Rabaa who is patient in his jail, struggling for his freedom and to remind the oppressor that Tarek will resist and he will not submit neither to him nor to any other similar spiteful authoritarian tyrant".

This photo had been captured this month in the center of Tarik al Jadidah district, Tarek's place of birth, which shows a boy holding in the middle of the street a portrait for the brilliant engineer Tarek Rabaa as an expression of his love for him. The sadness is obvious on his face because he wants Tarek's freedom.
