Because he fears the truth, the so-called Hizbullah has recently triggered a concentrated defamation campaign targeting the telecom engineer Tarek Rabaa who is still under prosecution since 18 months. Tarek Rabaa has been interrogated last year by the head of military court, yet he refused to release him though no evidences and no confession. Tarek's family was in the begining silent on the torture and falsification hoping the court will deal with the file according to the Lebanese law. In fact, it has been revealed that the military court is governed by the so-called Hizbullah and the court's staff is fearing the resistance's intimidations. On January 7, 2012 Tarek's lovers rallied in Beirut challenging the court and demanded to release Tarek and they announced Tarek as a scapegoat for the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. In reply to Tarek's supporters movement, Al-Manar TV, once again, has pre-sentenced Tarek on its screen as a telecom spy for the Mossad without evidences. The focused campaign has manifested the so-called Hizbullah as loosing his self-control and stability. Tarek Rabaa has been suspected for spying based on a French number which has revealed to be for a taxi company, thus triggering a scandal in Lebanon. Rabaa's family has recently published a statement criticizing Al-Manar TV and has asked the government to substitute for the courts by Al-Manar screens. The reply was to fabricate a new story against Tarek which was published by Elias El Murr newspaper Al-Joumhouria. In spite of the unbalanced power between Rabaa family and the Resistance, a statement was diffused by Tarek's family denying the new fabrications regarding the link between Tarek and the new suspected spy, Youness.
Consequently, observers have reported a tension within the resistance body, the so-called Hizbullah, and they have noted a loss of self-control and stability. As they fear the Special Tribunal for Lebanon they fear Tarek's innocence. The so-called Hizbullah's image was touched by keeping Tarek in jail, and they got provoked for not being able to find evidences against Rabaa, thus they are pushing the military intelligence to fabricate new evidences. Al-Manar TV which is owned by the resistance, is obviously manifesting the fear of having Tarek Rabaa innocent because they used his story to undermine the telecom evidence used by the special Tribunal for Lebanon which is accusing until now 4 persons affiliated to the so-called Hizbullah in killing the ex-prime minister Rafic al Hariri on February 14, 2005.
