Ghana booking friendly with England

    Four-time African champions Ghana are yet to finalize a deal to play their colonial masters England in an international friendly. The 29 March friendly at the Wembley Stadium would be the first time the two are meeting at the senior level in international football.

    “We expect to sign the contract next week to make it complete, but we have an agreement to play England. We have agreed in principle to play,” GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi confirmed to Ghanasoccernet.com.

    Both sides have met on several occasions at junior levels and this game is hugely expected to show who is who in the arena of football.

    Ghana is currently ranked 16th on the FIFA/Coca-Cola monthly rankings while the Three Lions are lying in 6th spot.
