Globacom Group's Chief Operating Officer, Mohammed Jameel has finally slated October 2010 to launch its operations in the West African country Ghana, refuting media reports that his outfit was considering pulling out of Ghana due to alleged sabotage and deliberate attempts to delay its network launch.
MOBILE GAINT GLO TO EXIT GHANA
According to Joy Fm’s report, Jameel disclosed the new move during a news conference in Lagos, adding that the launching would be after the commercial launch of its GLO-1 submarine cable in August.

Jameel has been reported earlier to have emphasized that, Globacom was not worried, and could even spend three months rolling out in Ghana despite her numerous challenges encountered. Noting that, the company’s only desire has been to successfully lay the platform upon entry onto the Ghanaian market.

Jameel however revealed that the firm has so far invested much in its Ghanaian operations and was not ready to back out, despite all the challenges encountered.

GLOBACOM was granted the country's sixth mobile license in June 2008 and has been working tirelessly to launch its operations.
