Wife stones hubby over affair

    A man from Hwange, 300km south west of Bulawayo, almost lost his nose and thumb after his wife stoned him for having an extra marital affair, it has been learnt.
    Memory Xolisani Sithole (28) of 47 Empumalanga appeared before Hwange Magistrate, Mr Peter Tomupeyi Madiba for contravening Section 4(2) (a) of the Domestic Violence Act Chapter 5:16.
    She was fined US$ 25 or 15 days in prison.
    It is the state’s case that on 19 December at about 02:50 hrs the complainant Mr Pardon Tapuwa (33) of 347 Chibando was coming out of the Zimbabwe Republic Police charge office in the company of the accused.
    While there were still walking Sithole accused Tapuwa of having an affair with a Velile and the court also learnt that she had a misunderstanding earlier on with the said lady.
    The court also heard that bas they were still on their way to the bar in the camp and Sithole bit the complainant on the left thumb as to why he had bought beer for Velile
    She then struck him with a stone on the nose and she sustained an injury on the nose.
    Tapuwa then reported the matter to the police leading to the arrest of Sithole.
    In her defence Sithole told the court that she was acting in self defence as they had a misunderstanding.
    She was represented by Mr Mashindi Jabulani Ndlovu of Ndlovu and Associates.
    Mr Sifelumusa Fuzane prosecuted.
