"Gafsa Net Expo” for more investments


  1. Tunisia IT, will Organize "Gafsa Net Expo “in February 2010, the forum will take place in the town of Gafsa, in Southern Tunisia.

    The event is initiating a series of meetings aiming at fostering partnership between Tunisian and foreign investors namely in the sector of technological innovations and open source softwares as well as customer relationships sectors.

    Gafsa Net Expo Forum aims also to Developing a network of innovative and high-performance enterprises with high added value, capable of achieving integration within the global market, and give a new concept in the marketing field consisting of a mutually beneficial relationship between the customer and the company, project leaders, and graduates from the region.

    Many Companies have favorably responded to the invitation to invest in the region and boost its employment potential namely, The Gafsa Phosphate Company (CPG), Chemical Group, the Poulina Holding and the Abdenadher Group.

    The Italian Benetton, the Japan's Yazaki, one of the leading cable and wire groups and the world's largest producer of wiring harnesses and a leader in the automotive industry, and the Tunisian Optimum Group which has already announced the creation of five call centers in the region, will also take part in the event.

    The forum will be will be a true opportunity for contact, action, discussion and reflection and making all the concerned parties contribute significantly to reducing the digital divide through new multi-actor partnership projects.

    Tunisia strives to lure more foreign investment and making the country a regional technological pole of excellence.

    The ICT sector in Tunisia will benefit from a significant boost in investments which will reach 6.3 billion dinars during the period 2007-2011 against only 430 million dinars during the period 1992-1996.
