Algiers: Tense day ends with climax

The game was played in Khartoum, Sudan, and the whole nation saw on televsion how Algeria beat the 'Pharaos' with 1-0.Loading video...Algeria will compete during the World Cup in South Africa next year. The last time they qualified for the end tournament was in 1986.
Algeria becomes the sixth African team at the finals, joining fellow qualifiers Ghana, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Nigeria and hosts South Africa.
