Somalia: Four Islamists including top Al-Qaeda operative kil

    Four Islamists including top al Qaeda operative Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan were killed after foreign helicopters attacked armed vehicles at Robow Villige near Barawe City about 200 kilometers south of the capital Mogadishu on Monday noon.

    “The unknown foreign helicopters attacked five armed vehicles but they targeted one of the vehicles and the others escaped for safety” Said on the phone one of the Robow Village elders who requested not to be named because of his security

    He added the helicopters destroyed one armed vehicle and the other four escaped for safety.

    One of the four Islamists who were killed is Salah Nabhan, who the US says he was behind the attacks in Kenya, and Tanzania in 1998 and he is member of Al-Qaeda group. Other sources are saying the other four dead by the attack were Somalis one of them was British Citizen.

    The dead terrorist, Saleh Ali Nabhan, is believed to have taken part in the 1998 attacks on U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. He is also believed to have orchestrated the 2002 bombing of a resort hotel in Mombasa, Kenya, and a failed missile attack on an Israeli airliner leaving Mombasa airport.

    US warplanes targeted Al Qaeda operatives in Somalia for several times since late 2006 and dozens of civilians were killed others were wounded in those attacks.
