The leader of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Raila Odinga has announced that the murder of another MP will not affected the course of the ongoing talks, and that his party was considering to call in special detectives from abroad to investigate it.
' We do not trust this Government and the police are part of the problem. How do you expect them to conduct credible investigations while they are also accused of killing innocent citizens", said Raila.
The death of David Too came barely two days after another opposition member of parliament was assassinated while going back to his home in Nairobi. Mutable Were was killed by gunmen outside his gate in full view of his guards.
Yesterday the meditation talks were stopped after news of Too's death reached the mediation team. Tension remained high in parts of the Rift Valley after news emerged that Too was killed while going to buy a plot in Eldoret.
