Zambia's CAF Envoys Optimal

  1. Zambia’s representatives in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champion’s league Zanaco Coach Keagan Mumba says his team will work on their mistakes and ensure that they qualify to the next round of the competition.

Speaking in an interview after his team‘s 3-2 victory over Mbabane Swallows of Swaziland, Mumba said that Zanaco have put themselves in a tight situation after conceeding two away goals.

He said the players committed a few silly errors and were eventually punished for it.

"It will be difficulty to play away from home after conceeding two goals. We have made it hard for ourselves and we have made things hard for ourselves", Mumba said.

"Swallows are an ambitious side and will make things difficult for the Zambian league champions in the second leg set for Mbabane in two weeks time"he added.

Meanwhile Swallows Coach Nyanga Hlophe described his team’s loss as painful adding that this is the first time his team has lost this season.

He said that his team will be comfortable playing at home in Swaziland saying his players need to work hard ahead of the return match as they missed a number of scoring opportunities.

"Its a good for us after scoring two away goals and we hope to build on the results. Its hard to swallow the defeat but we will take positives from the game", Hlope said.

Zanaco will take on Swallows in the return leg of the CAF Champions league preliminary round match in Mbabane on March 2.
