Zambia: FIFA speaks out on FA crisis

    World Soccer governing body FIFA have told the petitioners of the Kalusha Bwalya executive to wait for the elections in 2012 if they want change of administration. The news surfaced at FA emergency council meeting in the central part of the country through FIFA manager of associations Primo Corvaro.

    "We will not recognize the new executive they did not follow procedure,there are many ways of expressing anger they should wait for 2012.”Corvaro said.

    The petitioners of the Kalusha Bwalya led executive met on November 26 were they pronounced the FA dissolved and formed their own parallel executive committee but FIFA has refused to recognise their executive.

    Constitutional crises rocked the Zambian FA after four of it’s executive members including vice president Emmanuel Munaile resigned from the executive.

    According to the constitution the five members that remained in the executive could not form a quorum hence the FA executive was dissolved.

    The petitioners were calling for the FA executive to step down but the FA is adamant to do so.

    The countries sports council constituted a committee that investigated the legality of the FA and declared it dissolved.

    FIFA has however differed with countries sports council and declared the Kalusha executive as legal.
