World Cup 2010 draw

    A total of 170 teams discovered the hurdles they must overcome to reach the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa on Sunday when the Preliminary Draw took place in Durban. Celebrities from Africa and across the globe including George Weah, Abedi Pele and Lucas Radebe attended the event.

    South Africa will participate in the Preliminary Competition for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa which serves also as the qualifying competition for he Africa Cup of Nations. If qualified for the third stage, South Africa will play in its group but the points obtained will only be computed for the Africa Cup of Nations, not for the FIFA World Cup
