Wole Arisekola Set To Buy Shooting Stars For N 2 billion

    Reprieve may soon come the way of relegation threatened Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan. Wole Arisekola, an Ibadan born Dublin based businessman has offered to buy the darling club of Ibadan people for the sum of N 2 billion.
    A letter to that effect was sent to the Governor today through the Secretary to the State Government. The letter emanated from the office of Mr Arisekola’s attorney, Ayo Olayinka & Co, Wuse II, Abuja.
    Shooting Stars fortunes in the on-going Premier League have suddenly dwindled and analysts say the club might be relegated if care is not taken. The club lost its last two home matches; the last one against Sharks of Port Harcourt was lost by a lone goal last weekend while it pulled a draw in its last away match. The club is also set to face Warri Wolves at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday but feelers from the camp say if the players are not well motivated before then, the “Oluyole Warriors” as the club is fondly called might suffer yet another home loss.
    Investigations have revealed that some of the players are being owed salaries running into four months while some are yet to receive their sign on fees
