Where is the African help for Zimbabwe?

  1. Peter Vlam, AfricaNews
Robert Mugabe is probably laughing in his palace at this very moment. He knows he will remain president of Zimbabwe in only a few days ahead. All this despite the UN Security Council who unanimously condemned the violence. And despite the first African leaders who critized his regime. What can be done for Zimbabwe? Have your say.

Yes, there is need for military intervention because Zimbabwe is now a war failed state.

People are dying every day. SA's Thabo Mbeki made things worse for Zimbabwe because of "quite diplomacy."

The other problem is that some educated Zimbabweans do not have faith and trust in the opposition leadership es Morgan Tsvangirai.

They think he is uneducated, "not himself and can not think for himself."

My position regarding Morgan Tsvangirai’s withdrawal from the presidential race is this: he should have stayed in the competition even while hiding in the Dutch embassy. He doesn’t need to openly campaign since his supporters know his ideas. Anyway, he won the first round and Mugabe is campaigning for him by showing himself brutal towards his own people.

The problem Tsvangirai’s withdrawal is causing, is that Zimbabweans are given no choice but to accept Mugabe as their leader since he will win the election.

It’s now very likely that a military action will have to take place to remove Mugabe by force. If Tsvangirai had stayed, he would proclaim himself as the legitimate president of Zimbabwe and form a government even from exile. He already controls the parliament. The military action would then be justified even by the Africa Union, as it would aim to put a legitimate president in his right place. Mugabe will be the only legitimate leader, and Tsvangirai will be held responsible for that.

One of his arguments is that he wants violence against his supporters to stop. My questions are: was there no violence even before the elections? Will violence stop just because he gave up? I think the answer is to the latter question in NO!

My opinion is that Tsvangirai’s decision brings no solution at all. He played Mugabe’s game

Is a shame to read and hear what is happening in Zimbabawe.Papa Mugabe who thought as a teacher in Ghana had a lot of respect ,is an unfortunate to know that hes using his power to wrestle what the minds of the Zims represent.

The time has come for the old man to listen to the mandate of the electorate rather that listening to ill advisees from his cohorts who think that if power goes to MDC,they would be domed. The country is not for one man therefore he should open his arms to evryone.

Am even annoyed of our African Leaders who cannot open their mouth to say anything against what Papa Mugabe is doin espercially Thabo Mbeki.

I respect Morgan for declining to stand for re-elections becuase he has the people of the Zims at heart and would not do anything that would spark war in his name in Zimbabwe.

Papa Mugabe was a leader i respected but now am really ashamed of his acts and the earlier he bows down the better.

After seing and hearing the attrocities and cruelties cmmited by Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe , one might be left to wonder why the western world is not intervening? To answer to that question, I will reply as : What the African Community is doing ? After our so called INDEPENDANCE, Africa was supposed to be the fine and logical Model of Freedom, Liberty, Justice and Prosperity.Yet, it is the same quote and quote African Presidents who were ROARING over every roof that the western world was UNJUST to us, are the ones and were always the ones murdering, raping, slaughtering, genociding the African populations and SQUANDERING our Economies and Natural Resources in the name of their own Egocentric Selfish Centered Hunger and Thirst for Power.
For and to all my African peers, in and out off Africa, let's get on the streets and put an end to our long sufferings.Everywhere in Africa.
P.S., let's this message be seen in every African contry
It is our fight, not the western world's. Africa, let's free ourselves from those Tyrans,Dictators,Monsters African Presidents. They will not leave on their own.We must , should and can liberate ourselves from those African Presidents. They are the ENNEMIES of Africa.
Thanks for reading me and let's go get them.
