Wenger Angers Tanzanian Fans!

  1. Wenger Angers Tanzanian Fans!
Andrei Arshavin's, the Russian playmaker has been on the news worldwide for the past weeks. Until this piece his contract has not been revealed. The Gunners fans are hanging in balance. Arsenal Wenger’s rigidity could be attributed to this.
Those who watched Arsenal’s last match against West Ham complain that Wenger’s team lacked focus and ability to score goals that could have bridged the gap with premiership pace makers.
“I don’t know what he thinks, we have gone 4 years without a trophy and we don’t see any as the season closes,” shouts a frustrated fan.
A random survey among premiership fans in Tanzania reveals a growing anxious amongst Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool fans. On the contrary, vocal and hyper Arsenal fans are growing ‘small’ by the day.
“Watching Arsenal matches have always been a pain in the ass! When the game is in their command, they don’t do the right thing,” lashed another frustrated fan.
Majority of Arsenal fans no longer fancy Arsenal’s classic display on the pitch. “Who cares about the accuracy of passes? We want to see players scoring goals and win matches,” adds another fan.
The move to sign Arshavin was seen to many and in particular to Arsenal fans as a solution to Arsenal’s lack of creativity and form. The revelation by Arshavin’s agent that “in 16 years this has been the most difficult transfer ever", without wanting to go into details of the sticking points in the deal has left many questions unanswered to Arsenal’s fans.
Wenger’s stringent policy on signing players and lack of respect to fans could cost Arsenal a place in UEFA’s competitions.
