UN and AU delegations to solve crisis in Guinea.

    The former ‘International Contact Group on Guinea'', now called the Friends of Guinea was received in audience by the Head of State.
    During this audience, after having welcomed the guests, president Alpha Condé thanked them for their peace and stability efforts in Guinea.


    The delegation lead Mr. Said Djinnit and Professor Ibrahima Fall, respectively representativs of the United Nations and African Union in the sub region, paid a courtesy visit to Profeessor Alpha Conde to discuss about the social and political situation of Guinea.


    . Djinnit said that the purpose of the visit was to contact the President of the Republic and other officials to see to what extent the international community will continue to support Guineans in their efforts to consolidate peace, democracy and development.

    As for Professor Ibrahima Fall of the African Union, he expressed the will of the President Alpha Condé to complete the electoral process in a short time and in a spirit of openness, consultation and consensus with others. He also asked all social partners to demonstrate openness, sense of compromise and political will for a quick completion of the transition.

    The audience ended in a spirit of friendliness which showed the will of Professor Alpha Condé and the international community to organize quickly legislative elections.
