Leading food manufacturing, processing and repacking company based in United Arab Emirates (UAE) has set eyes on the lucrative African market.
Speaking during the ongoing Kenya International Trade Exhibition (KITE), Delta Food Industries Director Shiraz Osman says the company aims to diversify into the growing African market, through leading brands like tomato paste, ketchup, milk powder and sauces. The food processor is among international companies currently showcasing their products at the largest international trade fair for multi-sector products, equipment and machinery at Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC), Nairobi, Kenya.
Mr Osman says the company has experienced staff and use state-of-the art technology to produce highest standard and reliable products. He says the company, located in Saif Zone close to Sharjah International Airport, produces about 360,000-400,000 cartons per month. The factory is equipped with high technology and branded machinery from Italy, Iran and USA. “We offer delicious and nutritious food. Kenyan Trade Minister Moses Wetangula praised KITE for steady growth since inception 16 years ago, saying the exhibition was key networking and sourcing platform for the industries. The Minister, through Chief Trade Development Officer Charles Kerongo said no other related trade exhibition in East Africa that delivers the same quality and quantity and variety of buyers and distributors.
He said the Kenyan government is fully behind this creative exhibition, showcasing amazing array of products and services from all over the world and gives visitors opportunity to source cutting edge products and services as well as learn about and discuss the latest market trends.
Neville Trindade, Exhibition Manager at Expolink says this years exhibition, at 16th edition has recorded at record breaking numbers in exhibitors and trade visitors. This year, the event has attracted over 100 exhibitors from 30 countries, representing 25% growth increase compared to previous edition, further anchoring the trade fair as the most important of its kind in the wider region.
Concentrating on some of the largest growth categories within the multi sector industry, including medical, food, hotel , plastics, packaging , processing and consumers sectors.
