The internal security forces raided an hospital in Beirut

  1. On September 26, 2012 the internal security forces transported Mr Tarek RABAA from Roumieh's jail to Al-Makassed hospital in Beirut. One hour after starting his medical treatment, the internal security forces raided the hospital, they ordered the doctor to stop the treatment process and to remove the serum because they decided to take him back to jail. The doctor has refused to stop the treatment because of the critical health situation he concluded after examining Tarek, yet the internal security forces had carried the engineer Tarek RABAA on a wheelchair (because he was not able to standup) and they fastly transported him back to Roumieh jail escorted with dozens of police's cars.

The engineer Tarek RABAA was unlawfully detained on July 12, 2010 and he didn't yet finish his trial in the military court in Beirut. From another side, he was tortured during the initial investigation because he was saying "no" to the military intelligence. His sickness has been caused by the torture which had been reported last year to the military court and confirmed by a medical report, but Tarek didn't receive a convenient treatment while he is in jail and his health has deteriorated quickly. After the repetitive requests of his family to transfer him to a private hospital, they got an approval based on paying the treatment's cost by RABAA's family. Suddenly, the internal security forces headed by the general Ashraf RIFI changed the decision after transporting Tarek to the hospital.

Tarek is now in the jail, sick, and he is not receiving the medical treatment until today...
