- The main opposition parties in Malawi, the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) have are said to be planning to form a coalition that they may merge in a bid to defeat the ruling Democratic Progress Party ( DPP) from power. Looking at the media reports about the elections across Africa, one cannot help but feel sorry. I wonder each time if African leaders will ever learn to accept defeat and work together with their opponents to develop their countries and continent at large! - Take Zambia for instance, Sata started accusing the government that they had rigged the elections even when he was ahead when they started counting the votes. The case for Kenya and Zimbabwe cannot be over emphasized! Last time I checked, African countries still have cases that are going on for about five years, people are still contesting in court that the election results of four years ago were rigged!

African youths are gathering in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to brainstorm and provide recommendations on how best the continent should be developed.
