Ghanaian lawyer seeks $250,000 damages
A prominent Ghanaian lawyer, Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, is seeking a cost of USD$250, 000 against the New South Wales Bar Association as damages after winning an alleged misconduct case brought against him. - The court dismissed the case and ordered that Osei-Ameyaw, once a deputy minister for tourism in the past Kufuor administration, make any application he so wishes in relation to the costs of these proceedings.
Solicitors for the former minister have accordingly applied for a cost of USD$250, 000 against the NSW Bar Association and are awaiting the money, an Accra-based private newspaper – The Daily Guide reported.
