I am a Zambian freelance male journalist, based in the capital Lusaka and currently writing for several publications including newspapers and web-based publications in Africa and outside the continent. My specialisation is in development, agriculture, environment, human rights, goverance and business/ economy, issues that I have closely reported on for the last 10 years of my Feature Writing career. Some of my recent writings have included the impact of the current global economic recession on Zambia whose economic growth, averaging 6 percent over the last five years, has been driven by earnings from record copper prices. I have also covered Zambia's political events and their impact on the common man, and the various issues afflicting the country's health sector such as HIV/AIDS, malaria and cholera, as well as analyses of the country's strides towards attaining the Millennium Development Goals. I am currently a serving member of the African Network of Environmental Jounalists (ANEJ), the Media for Evironment and Agriculture Development (MEAD) as well as several other professional bodies.
