Kenneth Walker, CEO of Lion House Productions brings a wealth of experience in international media companies. Currently, Mr. Walker reports from Africa for The Root, a leading African American Internet news site owned by The Washington Post newspaper. Prior to opening Lion House in Johannesburg, Mr. Walker served as the Africa Bureau Chief for National Public Radio, USA, the largest radio news network in the United States. Before joining National Public Radio in October 1999, Mr. Walker served as owner and operator of Lion House Publishing, a press for non-fiction, African American oriented books. Mr. Walker began his career in journalism as a general assignment reporter for The Washington Star newspaper in 1969. Over the next 13 years, Mr. Walker served as the paper's White House correspondent, U.S. Supreme Court correspondent, national correspondent, and also foreign correspondent. When the newspaper closed in 1981, Mr. Walker joined ABC News as a general assignment correspondent. While at ABC News, Mr. Walker covered the White House as well as the U.S. Justice Department, and he also served as a foreign correspondent. Upon his departure from ABC News in 1985, Mr. Walker served as anchor of USA Today: The Television Show.
