Iringa is one of the 26 provinces of the united republic of Tanzania and it is in the Southern Highland of the country with the population of 1.5 million people according to the census of 2002. - The province is divided into seven districts wichi are Iringa Rural and Urban, Kilolo, Ludewa , Makete , Mufindi and Njombe . The province has the the highest HIV/AIDS infection rate at 15.7 per cent in the country and until june last year more than 53 thousand HIV/AIDS , Patients has registered for ARVs and 50 percent of them had started taking the medicine . the authorities hope to bring down the figure by half in 2012 and they are emphasising on behaviour change.
