I am a media professional currently based in Mumbai with over a decade of experience across print, TV and development based communication. I have worked with some of the top media organizations in India, including The Telegraph, Indian Express, The Sunday Observer, DNA (Daily News & Analysis), ANI (Asian News International) and TVi. My reportage has included special projects on a diverse range of development issues like water conservation and reportage on NGOs. My reports for ANI have been broadcast on NHK Japan, BBC South Asia File and MNET South Africa. I have reported from difficult conditions including reports on the status of women in the Gulf and carpet weavers in Nepal. For instance I began my career with a premier communications house in New Delhi generating, editing, and supervising the design of communications material for a roster of international clients such as the UN, World Wildlife Fund, the EU and The Ford Foundation. I have done stints as a media consultant for development agencies working on issues like HIV/AIDS in Goa. More recently, I was part of the team that set up DNA and headed the team working on city news and special Sunday features pages. My work profile in both print and broadcast outlets has included managing large teams of reporters, columnists and writers based across the country and abroad. I am skilled in setting up systems and building content from scratch. I have written well-appreciated features and been a photographer for several mainstream magazines including Namaskar India and Exotica and CNNGo.
