Born in the rural village of Makuatlane, in the then Transkei under the Minority rule and now the Eastern Cape, I am a student at the University of the Witwatersrand doing Radio broadcasting.

I have worked as a radio presenter and producer for the past 7 years, mainly in government and community. this has driven my passion for the growth of the community radio sector in Southern Africa.

Being born into poverty and underdevelopment, there is no escaping the political influence and the reality of the economically unbalanced South Africa- at a young age I had to learn to live beyond what my eyes see. This did not only assit me in becominga better person in live, but gauranteed me a better future to my peers.

I see the world trough my own eyes and my respect for the community I grew up in influence my drive and passion for media, especially radio. With the dawn of the internet, I knew exactly where my strengths are- multimedia. The combination of text, adio and vedio to cover news stories fascinates me- though radio remains my 1st love.
