I am a dynamic, energetic, self motivated and flexible individual with great learning and leadership abilities. I posses a very useful variety of talents and ability that has enabled generate great results in at every opportunity in my career cycle.
In my most recent career engagement I served as a programmes Officer for The Mazira foundation. My role in this occupation gave me an opportunity to achieve a very remarkable dynamism in my operations, my duties varied from administrative (involving public relations, accounts and office running) to fieldwork involving research and statistical manipulations.
I sat in the CITAM (Christ Is The Answer Ministries) Youth Summit Board that oversaw the successful inaugural Nairobi youth summit, held at NPC KAREN in May 2007. The main role was to stimulate input from Kenyan young professionals and students to the CITAM Youth Summit 2007.
My responsibilities included establishing networks within Nairobi that would provide an opportunity for young people to discuss and develop consensus on modalities of contribution to society at various levels and also to identify and promote areas and opportunities for multi-stakeholder partnerships for young people’s social and economic development.
I have been heavily involved with youth and development work since completing high school. I am a founder member of Windows for Young People in Africa (WYPA), which aims to strengthen the voice of youth in Africa and create networks throughout the world as well as the International Young Professionals Foundation (IYPF), which recognizes that African young professionals – and their businesses and organizations are key actors and partners in the achievement of the MDGs.
Since its establishment, Windows for Young People in Africa (WYPA) has been working towards strengthening international cooperation among young persons with a view to integrating them into the global system.
I was nominated and served as a delegate at the NYC III (National Youth Convention III) in August 2007. NYC’s primary purpose is to promote the development and advancement of the Kenyan youth to further, promote positive change in Kenya through charitable efforts in the areas of science and technology as may be derived from members’ expertise as well as to promote honesty in governance pursuant to Kenyan democratic ideals in order to foster Kenya’s economic, political and social growth.
I have also provided legal advice and consultancy services to the MAZIRA Foundation which is an upcoming non profit trust organization whose aim is to establish free health services in western Kenya
Currently, I am leading African Urban Entertainment Company as the General Manager. African Urban is a Nairobi Based Entertainment and Film Production company whose main aim is to make a positive influence in Kenya’s entertainment industry. Alongside the same, I am a production and creative assistant for Nation Media Group-NTV. My input includes generating and managing schedules, planning, scripting and execution of the assigned program.
My other areas of interest range from Music, to Poetry, Leadership, Acting, Reading, Writing and Legal research. I feel a responsibility to make a difference in the lives of Kenyans in social and corporate systems throughout the world.
