I was born in September 30, 1980 in Francistown, Botswana. I began my primary school in Nkange village in Botswana in 1988 passing my Primary Leaving Examination with first class and straight As. I proceeded to Nkange community Junior Secondary School where i continued to excel in my studies. During this time i was selected school prefect and walked away with awards in best student in Home Economics for two consecutive years. I completed my Junior Certificate in 1996 where i passed with second class and proceeded to Tutume Mc Connel College. I was also selected prefect school, secretary of the science club and English and history debating clubs. It was here that i horned my writing skills as a writer for McConnel Voice, a school magazine. I was also awarded best student in History 1997 and 1998 respectively while in 1999 i accepted the best student award in Environmental studies. I completed my senior school in 1999, passed and got government scholarship to study for Degree in Journalism at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa. I completed my diploma in 2004 and did a six months internship at Dikgang Publishing Company for their newspapers Mmegi and Monitor. Due to social problems after my mother's demise in 2003 i had to come back home and take care of my siblings. Therefore i could not go and complete my studies. I got a freelancing offer from Mmegi newspaper where i freelanced for five months before they employed me on permanent basis by July 1, 2005 and assisted my siblings financially until they all completed their senior schooling and got government sponsorhips to go for tertiary education. In 2008, i managed to go back to school to complete my degree which i graduated in April 23, 2009 in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I am still working for Mmegi and still enjoying writing and chasing scoops and rushing to beat the daily dead line. My motto has always been to percevering in the face of adversity, to know that quitters never win. I have instilled that in my siblings and now trying to do that with my daughters Lesego, 9 years and Lesedi 3 years. I look back and smile at all the hardships i had to endure and say to everyone with a problem to wave their hand and say
