Sri Lankan Rebel Leaders Demise Foretold By Nigerian Prophet

  1. A Nigerian Prophet claims to have foretold the death and capture of the dreaded Sri Lankan Tamil Tiger leader almost three weeks before his demise.

At The Synagogue Church Of All Nations on Sunday 3rd May 2009, TB Joshua of Lagos, Nigeria said in a live broadcast on his religious television station Emmanuel TV: "Pray and fast for the whole world. I’m referring to an Asian country. Ask Jesus, that His mercy and favour should speak for them on Wednesday. I’m seeing a personality being traced. They are tracing him till now. They are still tracing him but it’s like they will get to him by Wednesday."

Two weeks later, he went on to say in another live broadcast, "I’m seeing they were looking for something... After some time, they find the thing but they couldn’t find life there again." He then specified the letter 'S'.

The prophecy supposedly came to pass on Wednesday 20th May 2009 when the Tamil Rebel Leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran, was confirmed dead, ending the bitter civil war that has ravaged Sri Lanka for over 25 years. The 'S' Joshua repeated apparently signified the opening letter of the Asian nation, Sri Lanka.

Joshua is said to have quite a prophetic pedigree, purportedly foretelling events such as the release of Ingrid Betancourt from the Colombian jungle, the death of the Zambian President, Levy Mwanawasa and the recent football stadium disaster in Ivory Coast.

His religious services on Emmanuel TV are attracting a growing viewership, particularly across the African continent.
