President Alpha Condé meets opposition leaders.


  1. The meeting took place on Tuesday 15th November 2011 at Sékoutouréya Palace, in Conakry.
    Political leaders invited to the meeting were mainly present except the two parties: Ibrahima Abe Sylla leader of NGR and Mamadou Bah Baadiko UFD leader.

    At the end of the audience held behind closed doors and lasted nearly three hours, the leader of the opposition El Hadj Cellou Dalein said ''on the items on the agenda of the dialogue the president said he made the mistake of not making contact with political parties and that now he undertook to involve politicians in all major decisions concerning the nation and for the dialogue if there is any blockage, political parties should make refer to him, he would intervene to facilitate dialogue so that all decisions are taken by consensus.''

    ''President Conde promised to restore dialogue between himself and his former colleagues in the Active Forces. It is an expression that he reminded and said that now the door will remain open to all political parties and invite them to comment naturally over development policies.''

    Talking political dialogue, the President of the Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea mentioned President Alpha Conde said that ''this will be an action that may be involved as appropriate to facilitate the political dialogue that he wishes.''


    As far as political prisoners are concerned, Cellou Dalein Diallo said, '' We reiterated our call for the release of prisoners. He reiterated his position of saying he expects the court decisions and is awaiting the decisions of Justice and after he could use his prerogative of mercy to free them. We reiterated our position that most people were arrested at their homes.''

    In addition, regarding the upcoming parliamentary elections, ‘the President said that this will be determined by consensus among all political actors,'' said the leader of UFDG.

    ''We expect to see in practice how it will evolve″, concluded Mr. Diallo.

    Jean-Marie Doré said that dialogue is the "best way to solve the problems in Guinea." He then expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with Professor Alpha Condé.
    As for the leader of Guinea for All (GPT), it is an important meeting because it relaxes the political atmosphere of the country. Ibrahima Kassory Fofana.
