  1. Count down as Nigeria clocks 49 tomorrow October 1st 2009.African News Reporter,'Chi Baby' had an interview with two relations Ifechukwu(Female) and Okechukwu(male) Onwukike to ascertain their level of enthusiasm as Nigeria clocks 49 years.

    African News Reporter: What are your names?
    Ifechukwu: My name is Ifechukwu Onwukike.
    Okechukwu: My name is Okechukwu Onwukike.

    African News Reporter: How Old are you?
    Ifechukwu: I am Nine(9) years old.
    Okeckwu: I am sixteen (16) years old.

    African News Reporter:What class are you in?
    Ifechukwu: I am in Primary 5.
    Okechukwu:I am about gaining admission in the University.

    Africa News Reporter: As Nigeria celebrates Independence tomorow, what are your plans?
    Ifechukwu: I will be goind to a Children party that is being organised by Blue Band.
    Okechukwu:My plan for tomorrow is to do the normal things that I do everyday.Wake up in the morning and live my life the way it should be lived.

    African News Reporter:How old is Nigeria?
    Ifechukwu:49 years
    Okechukwu:49 years

    African News Reporter: Are you happy?
    Ifechukwu:Yes, I am happy.
    Okechukwu: No,Iam not happy

    African News Reporter: Why, If I may ask?
    Ifechukwu: I am happy because Nigeria is 49 and taht make Nigeria older.
    Okechukwu: If you take a look around fo crying out loud,we are 49 and we have nothing to show for it. Almost all the setors of the economy is crumbling.

    African News Reporter::Are you proud to be a Nigeria?
    Ifechukwu: Yes, I am.
    Okechukwu: To be patriotic,I am proud but to say my mind, no.

    African News Reporter: Is Nigeria changing your life for good?
    Ifechukwu:Yes
    Okechukwu:No

    African News Reporter:How?
    Ifechukwu:(no response)
    Okechukwu: It is not really changing my life for good because day by day, I'm frustrated as i watch the news talking about the problems and issues of Nigeria. From the eucation,economic, political, security,judiciary sectors of the economy

    African News Reporter:Do you think that there should be anything that should be changed in Nigeria?
    Ifechukwu: Yes
    Okechukwu: Everything should be changed.

    African News Reporter:What are they?
    Ifechukwu:Police, education,environment and our president.Our police has to be stronger and more disciplined,ASUU should call of strike so that university children can go back to school.Finally, there are dirty environment in Nigeria and peolple die because they contact diseases.
    Okechukwu: 1st,our education systen is not up to standard, secondly, ther is much corruption in the political sector.As for Security, they should step up to their game because day by day, I hear cases of robbery and assination which is not being properly investigated.

    African News Reporter: If President Yaradua were here, What will you tell him?
    Ifechukwu:I will tell him to help Nigerians and the poor people should be given enough money.He should help them and feed them.
    Okecukwu:I will tell him to look into the major sectors of the
    economy such as education,sports in fact every sector of the economy.

    Africa News Reporter: Is that all?
    Ifechukwu: Yes.
    Okechukwu:Yes.
