Nigerian FA accounts still frozen

    The three accounts of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, will remain frozen, a top official of the anti-graft agency told journalists in Abuja.

    EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Femi Babafemi, said since inquiry is ongoing against the quartet of former NFF President, Sani Lulu, Amanze Uchegbulam, Taiwo Ogunjobi and Bolaji Ojo-Oba, the accounts will remain under the commission’s watch list.

    “There is an ongoing investigation into the activities of the Nigeria Football Federation. So those accounts remain frozen until investigations are concluded in this matter,” Babafemi told SuperSport.com.

    Three accounts allegedly belonging to the NFF was frozen in July this year by the EFCC.

    One of the accounts was alleged to have $6 million in it while the other two have $2 million and N144 million in them.
