For this, I congratulate my nephew Barack Obama and all Americans- whites, blacks, Spaniards, Indians, Cubans, gays, lesbians, straights, disabled and abled. While Barack is setting to pick up his team, rib-breakers African historians have come up with versions, which suggest that Barack descended from their homestead. In Kenya relatives and well-wishers in Nyangoma Kogelo village, 430 km from the capital Nairobi celebrated their hero’s victory in style. They danced, drank, sang their lungs off in jubilations and ate overnight!
In other parts of Africa, the story was not different. Every sober-minded person resonated
his victory hyper joyous. Tanzanian historians claim that Barack ancestral home is Tanzania. They have confirmed that the guy hails from the roots of the highest mountain in Africa – Mount Kilimanjaro. His height and colour of the skin suggest that he is chagga. I suppose a number of such claims will flood our news media as more untold stories unfold. To provide evidence, I guess medical scientists will have to be flown from across the globe to come and carry out a number of DNA tests to establish the truth before the region plugs into a civil war.
When such tests start, I will be the first to volunteer since 35 years ago, my grandma had narrated a story of our relationship with the superman - Barack Obama. I hinted earlier that in 2015 I will ‘bring the change we want in Tanzania.” I am determined to give Tanzanians a test of their lifetime. The just ended US elections conquered race politics and win itself a space in the world Guinness book. In Dar, we have unpronounced tribal politics. I am a chagga by tribe, Tanzanian by nationality, African by race and above all a human being by evolution!
An unofficial political ‘wind’ has it that there is no way a chagga or haya person could ascend to the high office in Tanzania. This myth has been passed on to the present generation. I don’t know who started that but that is feeling amongst many uninformed Tanzanians.
I guess the chagga and haya mudslinging and smearing stories, which have been passed on for decades, is typical of what is happening across other African political cycles. And while I am preparing to overcome all that, I am calling upon concerned medical scientists and historians to start tracing my historical roots and make them public before I get into the state house.
My campaign team comprised of Africanews.com crew is determined to ensure that their man gets to Ikulu come 2015. Mapambano yanaendelea.
