NUJE blacklists MEND

    The Nigerian Union of Journalists, Europe Chapter has condemned the act of terror that took place in Abuja while Nigeria was celebrating her 50th independence anniversary. Apart from condemning the dastardly act, the union has blacklisted the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), an organization that claimed responsibility for the bombing. MEND failed this time and rather than have our sympathy as usual, we feel disgusted that they'd sacrifice innocent lives to register their point. It shows how selfish they are. In a message sent by the Chairman of the NUJE, Mr. Wole Arisekola, members have been asked to suspend the reporting of all activities of MEND till further notice. As such, no member of NUJE would publish or air any news about MEND on his or her medium.
