NGOs IN JINJA DISTRICT SQUANDLE RESIDENTS MONEY

  1. Dear Africa.
It is coming to three months now since the economic tragedy befell jinja residents and those in the nearby areas. Dutch International together with TEAM,were known to be the most profit making organizations in Jinja district.here in uganda

Dutch International an TEAM where legally operating in Jinja district. Despite clear history that Dutch international had robbed Mbale residents before, the Residents were kept ignorant and not alerted.
Infact,Our very R.D.C Patrick Bagonza and district officials, did not protect the residents but did the reverse by allowing them to operate in central Jinja and also allegedly encouraged residents to invest their hard earned money in the organisations.

The two companies solicited for large sums of money worth billions from the residents who enjoyed the profits for a very short while till the fateful days when the truth unfolded itself to them. residents including our R.D.C had investments in both dutch and TEAM

On the advise of the R.D.C who is the presidential representative in the district, and the high levels of poverty prevailing in the region, almost half of the total number of business men, civil servants, poor farmers and peasants who heard their call, had all their capital invested in the organizations. some sold land, others houses while others withdrew money from banks to invest it in what appeared to be the most profiting investments.

As it is often said that rumor spreads like world fire, it was already to late when the people heard that an official of Dutch international based in Congo had been killed in mob justice as the people demanded for their money back. Before people could do that here, Dutch and TEAM, had already closed and the officials disappeared with the money.

Many businesses have closed down, many students have failed to report to their respective schools due to lack of school fees. Now the economic crisis is setting in , with my speculation, Jinja district together with the Eastern region will be affected most.

What surprises me is that the R.D.C together with afew notables in the district, had their money paid back so that they would pull out of the struggle, and so they have done at the expense of the poor farmers and civil servants who are still demanding in vain. Though the matter is under investigation and a few officials behind bars,For how long shall our businesses be closed, and students wait for school fees?

I there fore call upon the the central government of Uganda to fully intervene and find just and lasting solutions as soon as possible.
secondly I recommend that the R.D.C of Jinja district Patrick Bagonza be dismissed immediately for failure to protect the residents and their property for which he is directly responsible.

He has caused Immense poverty and conflict in the District. Mr president sir, We have been left in absolute poverty caused by our very leaders.

We need justice and all our money paid back.
