NDC is unshakable in strategies to win Election 2008

Accra, July 29, AfricaNews – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tuesday declared that the foundation of the party remains unshakable in the quest to recapture political power in the December polls.
“Our Election 2008 campaign strategy towards unseating the malfunctioning New Patriotic Party is resolute, issues focused, devoid of personality attacks and moving with the people,” Mr. Danny Annang, NDC Greater Accra Regional chairman told the AfricaNews after the presentation of ten compact laser multifunctional printers and accessories to the party.
The four-in-one printers’ valued at 2,300.00 US dollars were presented by NDC branch at the Massachusetts, United States of America to revamp the information communication and technological unit of the party.
Mr Annang said, in the grand design of the NPP to “kill the NDC” when it assumed power in 2001, it unleashed both governmental operatives and party functionaries to harass, intimidate and use a section of the media to propagate falsehood against leading members of the NDC.
“In spite of all these, the NDC had remained united, steadfast and unshakable, we have overcome the detractors, now we are all committed to fighting for a massive electoral victory in the December polls,” he said.
Dr. Kwabena Adjei, NDC National Chairman, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, National Organiser, Hajia Mariama Sinare, a Deputy National Women Organiser, Alhaji Baba Jamal, Deputy General Secretary; Madam Hannah Tetteh, Communications Director of the NDC, Mr Alex Tetteh Enyo, Member of Parliament and other leading members of the party were among those present at the ceremony.
Mr. Appiah Twumasi Ankrah, Chairman of the Massachusetts, United States of America branch who presented the donation on behalf of the group said NDC Diaspora community is encouraged by developments in the party.
“We are confident that the party is on the verge of recapturing political power, the NPP has failed Ghanaians through their property owing policies, and Ghanaians are yearning for a change.”
Mr. Ankrah urged Ghanaians to vote massively for Professor John Evans Atta Mills and Mr John Dramani Mahama, the running mate and all NDC parliamentary candidates for humane governance.
Visibly elated Dr. Adjei said the donation would revamp the party communication machinery to ensure that information within the national and structures are shared on a faster note.
Mr Ampofu predicted that ‘tsunami’ or disaster awaits the NPP in the December polls as it has become necessary because of deceptive policies of the government coupled with the fact that the masses are fed up with the party.
“There are so many people who voted for the NPP because of their deceptive agenda. Teachers, various working groups, taxi drivers among others.
“I can tell you that such people feel disappointed with the NPP government. That is why the Election 2008 is going to be like tsunami that will sweep people of their feet when they think that they are indomitable. What happened to NDC in 2000 is going to be repeated in 2008 against the NPP,” he said.
Mr. Ampofu said Ghanaians have resolved to replace the NPP with the NDC for a better change, which would reflect in the lifestyles of ordinary citizens.
The National Organiser said with the NDC social polices the party would create an egalitarian society and help address all the problems of the people.
He accused the ruling administration of gross mismanagement resulting in the whooping sums of external debts.
He also urged the electorate to give the NPP a clear signal that; “we are through with their property owing democratic policies and must pack and leave.”
