Malawi now has Gel toothpaste

    Colgate Palmolive- Malawi says it is contributing 25 percent of its products on the International Market.
    Senior Customer Development Executive Lillian Thindwa-Ng'ong'ola said in Blantyre during the launch of New Colgate Herbal Fresh Gel.
    Thindwa-Ng'ong'ola said the company decided to change the ingredients of Colgate, after research interventions revealed that most customers prefer products with natural ingredients' content.
    "This is especially true with health-related products like toothpaste. That is why we have decided to change from paste (previous Colgate) to gel toothpaste," said Thindwa-Ng'ong'ola.
    Thindwa-Ng'ong'ola said Colgate was the leading product in East-West Africa, hence the company wanted to extend its innovative spirit to Malawi by lauching the new "customer-friendly' product.
    "We believe in producing products that satisfy consumer demand and needs. The good thing is that the new Gel Colgate will maintain the same price as the previous one, something more likely to benefit Malawians.
    Colgate Palmolive is Malawi's leading toothpaste manufacturer, and imports most of its products from Brazil.
