It would serve as an opportunity for Cameroonian trainer, Otto Pfister, to continue looking for a better solution to his squad, as they begin the third and crucial phase of the joint World Cup/ACN 2010 eliminatories in March 2009. The following players have been served invitations to be part of the South African expedition. They are Rigobert Song Bahanack, Samuel Fils Eto’o, Geremi Soreille Fotso Njitap, Idriss Carlos Kameni, and Jean II Makoun.

Others are Modeste Mbami Mbami, André Amougou Bikey, Augustin Gilles Binya, Nicolas Nkoulou, Souleymanou Hamidou, Achille Kwamou Webo, Achille Emana, Albert Meyong Zé, Daniel Armand Ngom Kome, Eric Djemba Djemba, Alexis Ngambi, Guy Stephane Essame, Dorge Rostard Kouemaha, Somen ŕ Tchoyi and Franck Songo’o.

Pierre Wome Nlend, Cameroonian international who trades his football know-how with German elite club Werder Bremen was also invited by Pfister. But Wome’s invitation had been withdrawn and replaced with Nicolas Nkoulou. No official information has been given for Wome’s absence.

Wome had earlier announced his resignation from the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon after he was sidelined for missing a penalty that failed to qualify Cameroon for the 2006 World Cup in Germany against the Pharaohs of Egypt at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde, Cameroon.

Other FIFA sanctioned friendlies programmed for Wednesday, November 19 include; France – Uruguay, Scotland – Argentina, with Diego Armando Maradona as the head coach of the Argentina national team, Germany – England in Berlin and Ghana – Tunisia in Accra.
