A local Capital fm quoted a police source as saying “The three suspects are being questioned to establish their activities in the country. They are being investigated over terrorism activities.”

“There are no specific charges against these three, but they are under investigation. We will let you know of the progress and if they will be charged in court,” the Radio source added.

Nicholas Kamwende, the chief of Kenya's anti-terrorism police arm, confirmed the arrests but refused more details, AP news agency reported.

Kenyan police also detained other four suspects in the port town of Mombasa on Wednesday.

Last week, a Somali-Australian citizen, who was suspected of terrorism links, has escaped from Kenya police custody at a border police station.

Immigration officers said the man, who was arrested on March 13 at the Busia border post in western Kenya, was missed on Tuesday last week, before the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit came from Nairobi to interview him.

Three police officers and two Busia businessmen were arrested for links with the suspect’s escape, the Kenya Daily nation reported.

The police officers are suspected of having recieved cash from the suspect to release him. The man had $3,400 (Sh258,400) on him when he was seized just after crossing the Uganda border, Daily nation published.

The "terrorism part was a lie"
This shows the sad state of what passes these days as Journalist, when they cannot even report the Juiciest part of this story which is:
Some of the Kenyan's so call " anti- terror" group received Pirate money as bribe from some Somali politicians who opposed these three elected politicians, and the Somali politician has bribed six Kenyan "Anti-Terror" unit Sh 4 million Kenyan money or $56 thousand US Dollar to detained these three gentlemen under the guise of terrorism.
Fortunately these men are well known in Somalia, the neighboring nations, and they even had dinner a month ago in USA Embassy and the USA ambassador knows them. The Kenyan heads as well as UN repr in east Africa, Ethiopian Government knows these men to be elected leader. That is why they were let go.

Shame on the Somali politician who used the Terrorism card on innocent, and well respected gentlemen, and shame on those corrupted Kenyans who accepted bribe. and shame on the Journalist who could not even understand his profession and what sells news.
Now that we know this story is false, It makes me wonder how many innocent people have been labeled as "terrorist"
we shall keep an eye on Kenyan "anti-terror" groups next time they hold another innocent person after this fiasco! and shame on lazy journalist who want to get paid for such story while missing all the juicy parts.

I wish you would retract your story.

    Have a good day,
