There will be no re-run after all, the chief mediator of the Kenyan crisis talks, Koffi Annan told a news conference in Nairobi Friday.

Annan said recounting of the votes cast in the DEC 27 elections would not identify the correct result and also might not further Kenyan unity.

Among issues they agreed on was comprehensive reforms that touched on the constitution, electoral laws, truth and justice commission, parliamentary reform, police reform and legal and judicial reform among others.

The most contentious issues among the two camps remain the structure of a coalition government which they could not agree on during a two-day camp at a luxurious resort in the Tsavo national park.
