Kenya:Oldest Student Buried

    Stephen Kimani Maruge -the oldest student in Kenya who died 10 days ago was buried Monday in Arashi Farm in Nakuru North District.

    He will be remembered for his interest in education and enrolling at the age of 84 thereby entering in the Guinness World Book of Records.

    Stephen joined Kapkenduiywo Primary School when free primary education was introduced and captured the peoples attention in the process.He travelled to the United States of America in the process-something that looked like a dream before.

    His biggest desire was to be able to read the bible.And he did.He died in his sleep at Cheshire Home in Nairobi where he had been staying after being displaced during the Post Election Violence in 2008.
