KENYA: WHAT A DEAL?

  1. Thursday the 28th of february was the best day ever for everyone in Kenya I assume. I also thought about that but I think I should change my stand. What was my joy when I heard Mr. Koffi Annan saying ''Ladies and gentleman, we have a deal!". I almost jumped to hug him.
It only after I had a chat with some friends from different warring communities that I realised that the so publicised "Deal" is not what kenyans really wanted. What will happen to people who have lost everything due to their tribal appartenance? What will happen to those who had settled in provinces other than theirs? Does it mean that everyone should forgive anyone just like that because we have government of national Unity? What measures have been taken or are planned to avoid such situations in the future?
These are just few of the questions that I have been asking to myself and I believe that there are millions of people asking the same questions. What than are kenyan leaders and the International community saying about it. In french we say"VAUT MIEUX PREVENIR QUE GUERIR" this simply send us to the task of planning on prevention of things before they happen.
To all my readers, I just want to announce that I'm back since all kenyans are reunited. The reason why I took a little break is that I was living in fear of my life for "THINGS" I wrote on the internet as one of my sms threat stipulated. I just hope that re-unification will also guarantee me peace in this single life that GOD had put in me.

Jerry Nguwa, I read your post with interest. I invite you to participate at our Minciu Sodas laboratory http://www.ms.lt and in particular Janet Feldman's working group Holistic Helping http://groups.yahoo.com/group/holistichelping/ where we have work to help Kenyans and we are now thinking about structures for the future.
