KENYA BEATS ZIMBABWE IN WORLD CUP QUALIFIER

    KENYA's Harambee stars humbled Zimbabwe brave warriors with two goals to nil at home in a match attended by a record capacity crowd.

    Netherlands trained Kenyan Coach Francis Kimanzi has breathed back life back to football fans and they are are now back to the terraces cheering and chanting their team to victory.

    Starved of victory in football matches, FM stations mobilized supporters to the stadium and succeeded in filling the 40,000 seater stadium in Raila Odinga's constituency of Langata to capacity.

    Parma midfielder Macdonald Mariga and AJ Auxerre striker Dennis Oliech were the hit men of the two goals one in each half.

    The warrior's attempted a tactical game in midfield and defense but winger Patrick Oboya used his magical footwork to destroy the game plan creating space in the wings and the forward line.

    The win is the second for Harambee stars who lost to Namibia in Windhoek, before beating Guinea and Zimbabwe at home.

    The win places Kenya at the top of the World Cup cum Africa Cup of Nations 2010 qualifying group.

    Next weekend Harambee stars travel to Harare for the return match with the Warriors, before heading to Conakry for another Match with Guinea.
