    - ''The law provides  for a tax exemption on the employees contribution to the retirement funds. This should be extended to cover the funds' investments as these determine the interest to members, which would in return encourage savings'', a participant at the Alexander Forbes financial services seminar for trustees said.   3. Uganda: Soldiers arrested after murder


    - The officer in charge of investigations at Kabale police station, John Bulega on Thursday confirmed this to the press. He identified soldiers as Pte .Swaibu Masereka and Pte .Mathias Ngarombo.  Bulenga also named other suspects in the murder as Yonasani Muguhi, LC1chairman  Karegyere Cell, John Kwizera , brother to the deceased, Stephen Musinguzi and his uncle Elias Bunyenyezi.   4. Uganda: 36-year Man defiles 13-year girl


    - A man who is a professional teacher is being held by police in Kayunga on allegations of defiling a 13year old girl. The district CID officer, Grant Tabo, identified on Sunday the suspect as Godfrey Okech (36), a teacher in Kayonjo primary school in Busaana sub-county. Okech had been with the girl for eight months Tabo said Okech early this year took the girl after her father of Kiyuuya village in Busaana had caught him red handed in love with her daughter and gave her to him.     - A soldier by the names of private Omona Denis who allegedly shot his wife by the names of Nancy Akio last week and injured other two civilians at Parabongo IDP camp in Amaru district is on trial in the 4th Division court martial chaired by Brig.
