Jamaican top singers, Brick and Lace, arrived last night in Malawi to hold several performances. Sisters Nyanda and Nailah Thornborne will be backed by some of Malawi's top acts - including Malawi's top reggae outfit, The Black Missionaries.

"We feel great to perform alongside the international stars," expressed Black Missionaries' vocalist, Anjiru Fumulani.

However, there were some assurances that despite one of the girls being pregnant, she was geared to give her top most performance alongside her sibling.

"We are happy to be in Malawi and look forward to a great performance," they told reporters at the airport on arrival around 8pm on Thursday.

The highest gate fee through the performances is MK10, 000.

A foreign fan, Mara Gordon, wrote in her blog, http://maragordon.wordpress.com, If you are not aware, Brick and Lace is an unbelievably mediocre dance-music duo. I already am plotting how I’m going to get to Blantyre to make it to the show."

The songstresses travelled from Zambia where they are reported to have disappointed.

The Zambian Post said the two messed up when they performed Rihanna and other international stars tracks, before waving goodbye earlier to a stunned audience.

Brick (Nyanda) and Lace (Nailah) were born to a Jamaican father and an American mother and were raised mainly in Kingston, Jamaica.

They are protégés of Hip Hop star Akon. Originally the group consisted of three sisters, including Tasha, who left the group but continues to work with them and helped co-write their hit single, Love is Wicked, among others.
