Inventor improves lives in Southwest Cameroon

    Tangem Thomas is a skilled inventor. He lives in the Mile 16, a small village near Buea in the Southwest of Cameroon. Tangem is a former monk and he is now concentrating on craftsmanship.

    Over the past few years, he has thrilled the local community with solar powered cooking pots, fuel efficient large scale cooking solutions, multipurpose grinding mills made from scrap metal, multi-purpose filters.

    His motivation comes from the fact that he lives in a poverty stricken community, where access to clean water is a daily problem. The mostly farming community has benefited from his inventions for easy transformation of their produce for better storage and marketing.
