INTERCONTINENTAL LOVE: A NEW ESCAPE?

  1. Sister looks left, right, forward backward center, no one loves her as much as Mr. Right Overseas. Who calls her more often in the day or texts her more sweetly each quarter hour as he does? There is no telling he loves her more than anyone and she’s completely gone! He promises to make her travel, sponsor her and give her the bliss of of the western world. He’s a chartered accountant earning a million dollars a week but cannot send her money often because of the country’s transfer restriction, but she will get all she wants as soon as she gets there. When is she getting there? “Very soon. First, get to know my family. You know, if your meet my mother, you know how serious I am in this relationship We are getting married by the end of the year. Come fast! I am suffocating without you!”

Have they met before? Perhaps. Mostly not. How did they meet? My brother’s sister-in-law’s friend’s cousin. Great. And the love is so great.
It is becoming one serious issue the rate intercontinental heartbreaks these days. Our brothers abroad seem to be finding a new kind of solution to worry escape other than getting drunk and drugging. The brother gets in touch with a sister back at home, and starts playing the nice guy who hasn’t seen the Mexican hips, the Italian legs, nor the Brazilian eyes of the girls around them, but has fallen so badly in love with a photograph of a girl back home in the slums. I mean no insult sisters. We are all beautiful. But how could you beat thousands of real girls out there exposed and marching past the brother’s eyes daily, just by a photograph? It only happens to one girl in a million. Are you well behaved? Well, he prefers a woman he can have a one on one quarrel with than a lapping puppy dog behind the computer screen he can’t come back home to. These brothers only use sisters’ naivety and excitement to think and feel better about themselves. To Feel they are adored and highly placed rather than what society is actually showing them out there. He will give flimsy excuses about why the visa process that way would take longer than usual. And the kind of family problems he needs to solve first even though he loves and calls Sister his queen, his treasure, his life. She never gets to know anything about him. She only knows what he wants her to know. Some of them live as refugees on asylum status, you never know. Some are drivers and hotel cleaners; you think they are accountants and managers. But sister tells every truth about herself, even the dirtiest, and boils with adoration when brother seems not to mind.
Sisters, watch out not to contemplate suicide when you hear they are getting married. Or they just dump you because they say their family is against the union, or some other flimsy excuse. Look around you with your physical eyes. The love is overflowing. The guys are numerous. You take one thousand and sieve, you will get at least two good ones. They are only too close to be visible. Love is near you. Go for it. There is only little you can say or do across the internet or phone lines to make a relationship work. Watch out !!INTERCONTINENTAL LOVE: A NEW ESCAPE?
