Pride Leading Tribalism and Insecurity
- It can be concluded that silence is a killer, after political violence has destroyed a beautiful country. simultaneously with the Kenyan Goverment and other political opponents brewing the tension of silence. This quiet game is only making things worse, over 75,000 kenyans have been displaced as refugees in their own country, while unclear estimation of about 1500 are feared dead. Surprisingly the President ,Mwai Kibaki is silent and invisible as Raila Odinga's Presidential aspirant of ODM is still stirring anger over unsatisfactory polling results. - Elections in Kenya this year, is going to be highly influenced by tribalism. Kenya is due for National elections whose outcome is largely going to be influenced by Tribalism and Ethnicity. The country is the home of nearly 45 tribes and sub communities,there are however several tribes/ethnic groups which will influence the outcome of these elections. Since independence it has been a tribalism warfare,Keeping in mind that the current president Mwai Kibaki,flag bearer of the PNU (Party of National Unity) is running for another five terms, also hunting for votes the Kikuyu community which is major population in the Central and Rift valley provinces of Kenya. - As watchdogs of the societies, journalists should mention on every opportunity about crime incidences , since the rate of insecurity in the world seems to be crazy ,due to social evils, greed and bright technological operators. Security is a daily threat in our livelihoods and unless we share of common or rare encounters, no action will be taken against this vice.
