AfricaNews - The recent concert hosted by the Darfur Consortium in Lusaka, Zambia did indeed cause a stir as Zambians got together to watch legendary jazz maestro Hugh Masekela who performed to a tee and had people dancing to the sound of Masekela's trumpet and highly talented band members.

Lusaka Club, the venue of the event catered for the crowd that gathered to enjoy and sample the fantastic beats which included the beats of local musician Danny who curtain raised for the maestro and his band. This was indeed a concert to behold. Considering that it was quite a paltry sum paid for entrance to the concert.

And the whole aspect of highlighting the plight of women and children in Darfur, west of Sudan where the second genocide is happening in Africa was indeed brought to the Zambian people as Bra Hugh mentioned the issues of Darfur and paid tribute through music.

Acting as Goodwill Ambassador for Darfur, Bra Hugh as he has come to fondly be known certainly stands for what is right and needs to be done as can be seen from the voices which he has given to several noble cause in Africa.

I certainly enjoyed myself and could not asked for a better ambassador for Darfur.Hugh Masekela creates stir
